I have therefore the honor to ask for the permission accorded me by the Rules and Regulations for His Majesty's Colonial Service, to address for the recognition of His Majesty the following particulars of my services.
I am a British subject, born at Mainz, Bavaria on the 7th Feby. 1846, became a citizen of this Colony on the 18th June 1862. I was called upon to serve as a common juror in May 1865.
& served on common, coroner's and special juries, answering every summons. I have, with only two absences of about a year each, been resident forty-two years. I am, since February, released from serving on juries.
